This oceanfront development property is
located
between Guiones Beach Nosara, a tourism and residential
development,
and Garza Bay, which has small marina potential. As seen in this
satellite
image, Punta Guiones is a prominent outcrop, where the coastline of the
Nicoya
Peninsula changes direction. Access to the area is via dirt road from
the
city of Nicoya, 25 miles away, or the paved runway airport at Nosara,
with
several regularly scheduled daily flights (45 minutes) from the capital
city
of San Jose. It is a 2 hour drive from the international airport at
Liberia,
Costa Rica.Main power line utility connections are along the coastal road in front of the oceanfront development property. A fresh water aquifer exists at 90 feet below ground, making well water easily and cheaply available. Some dirt roads are already cut on the peninsula. Hotels and tourism are already developed on both the north and south margins of the oceanfront land. It lies along the southern border of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge, which has a protected beach zone of 200 meters above high tide. This property is outside of the Refuge, and is titled to the 50 meter zone. The oceanfront property is densely forested, with varied topography. Hills, valleys, creeks and waterfalls lead to the coast, which has zones of scenic cliffs, white sand beaches, pink sand beaches, and a pink sand island offshore. |
